Fairground Lofts was recognized for its thoughtful scale and successful integration of heritage homes through the careful placement of infill buildings and considered material choices. The site organization creates a welcoming central open space while effectively screening pedestrian views of service areas. The project was commended for addressing the complex design challenges of the stacked townhouse typology, resulting in a development regarded as exemplary by the 2017 Vaughan Urban Design Awards jury.
